So....

I STILL have no voice. The New Kids concert was AMAZING!!! It was a religious experience.. really. It was just so much fun. We were having fun, they were having fun. It was just... just. That's the only way to describe it.

Wicked was ALSO simply amazing. Jada and I were on sensory overload. We had the stand by for Elphaba and she was wonderful. It was everything I had hoped it would be.

I have had a WONDERFUL week... and we have Halloween today and our party tomorrow.

WEEEEEEE!

So.. lots of wonderfulness at the McClellan household.

Neal and I celebrated our one year anniversary. It was nice. The Saturday before we got as many of those in our wedding party together as we could and went to Melting Pot. Much fun was had by all. On our actually anniversary we had a quiet night in. We ate our year old cake.. it wasn't that bad actually.

Loving Warhammer. I have a level 20 Zealot. She is badass. Got my horse.. having fun WAAAAAAGHING!

Tomorrow night Jada and I are going to see New Kids on the Block. I am so excited. Been listening to the new cd for two weeks or so. Wasn't sure about it at first, but there are several songs I enjoy now.

Thursday afternoon we are going to see Wicked. Also, very excited about this. Its my second favorite musical (Jekyll and Hyde being the first- and I saw that for the first time a few weeks ago). It will be my first time seeing it, but I know the music by heart.

I also picked up Twilight on a whim last week. I devoured it. It was really good. I forgot how much I loved vampires.... On the second book now.

Also excited about our party Saturday night. Our house is all decorated fabulously... It will be a ton of fun. Hoping that some of you can make it out.

Next week I FINALLY get my braces off!!!! Whoooo!!

I also have to get one of my front teeth bonded as the tooth is actually shorter than all of the others. Never knew that cause my teeth were so crooked.

Finally the torture is over... All the scars on  my cheeks will be worth it!!!

Now I get to wear a retainer forever. Oh well, at least that I can take out to eat and for pictures and such.

Only 6 more days!

Birthday Weekend

I had a wonderful birthday weekend, thanks to Neal. He is the bestest husband there is.

Friday night we drove up to Pine Mountain, GA. We stayed at a cheapy Days Inn, as we were just sleeping there... but, UGH! Rough sheets, skimpy towels... cheap toilet paper. But, I digress. We got up in the morning and had Huddle House and headed out to the Pine Mountain Animal Safari!

We got there and had about 40 minutes to do the walk through animal part. We saw peacocks, chickens, bunnies, a camel, lemurs, and baboons. We also saw a monkey that wanted to fight Neal. He did not like Neal one bit. I told him not to smile at the monkey, but he did.. The monkey wanted to fight! He as shaking the cage and making a lot of noise.  We saw wild boars and bears, but it was feeding time, so they were not interested in us. We saw wolves and a liger. The wolves were very nice and pleasant to us. We tried  to talk to the kanaroos, but they thought we were boring.

Then we got to get on the Safari tour bus. This is the best way to go through the park cause the animals KNOW that this bus has food. They come RUNNING when they see the bus. We got to feed zebras, cattle, piggies, deer, oxen, zadonks AND Giraffes. I got to pet the giraffe too. She followed us forever. One of the buffalo decided he wanted to go for a ride, and climed on the bus! I fed him too. I got slobbered on by a huge cattle with HUGE horns. He tried to take my hand with the food stick. It was funny. There were little baby piggies that would come running as fast as they could. They were so cute. The cattle would butt other animals out of the way. It was fun!!

Then we headed to Atlanta to see my mom and Terry. We haven't seen them in forever. There was a con happening at the Cobb Galleria. Lots of anime kids running around in costume. I had no idea what they were, good thing Neal was there to help us. I had cheesecake for my birthday cake. Yum! Then mom took me to clinique for some birthday surprises. Excellent!

We came home, but I was exhausted after my animal encounters and driving. I fell asleep on  Mike and Mikey who came over.

Yesterday, on my actual birthday, we went to Arts in the Heart festival in Augusta. We figure anytime there is culture in our city, we should partake, as they may take what little we have away. We walked around the booths and found a gift for Neal's mom. I got some info on plays in the area. It started to rain, so we left.

Neal was going to make me a special shark dinner for my birthday. Unfortunately, it turns out I don't like shark... So, we had Longhorns instead. We came home and played Warhammer. I blew up high elf face for my birthday treat!

It was a great weekend. Neal worked really hard to make it special. I love you, baby!! Thank you so much!

Your result for Which Chess Piece are You Test?...

The Rook's Citizen

Congrats! Only 10-12% of the population score this!

The Rook’s Citizen is the guardian of birthdays, holidays and celebrations. They are generous hosts. They observe joyfully the traditions and are very liberal in giving when custom suits. Don’t be fooled by the pleasantry – they enjoy running the show. They are astute in seeing problems and aren’t afraid of delegation. They work hard and play with zest. They provide service and expect others to contribute.

The Citizen is wounded easily because their hearts are on their sleeves. They have a strong sense of right and wrong but are torn between that and the overwhelming need to rescue others. This can result in a swift action – often as motherly reprimand. As a caretaker the Citizen is vigilant. The world can be seen as a hostile place, one that cannot be trusted. They serve as great protectors and are perfect for the nurturing of young in education.

The Rook's Citizen prefers living with a focus on the world around them. They take in values via the five senses in a most literal and concrete fashion. They work hard and with efficiency. They maintain great relationships because of their cooperative natures. They will keep everyone informed and attempt to reach decisions through consensus. This is another ‘Pawn’ that is needed for their providing natures foundations of society. They bring the best out in others because they value everyone’s input and needs. They are the pleasant type and make others feel good about themselves. They will find it hard to accept flaws in others because they are the kindest and most giving of individuals.

La Tee Da

So... Kings gate was last weekend. I had a blast!!! I was so busy I pretty much didn't have time to eat. I ran like a crazy person during the feild battle healing and stitching... and then those damn sharks took me out... AGAIN! I swear, I have a vendetta against those things.

I hurt for two days afterwards, but it was worth it.

I am preparing my dcon costumes. We really want to do the Arkham Asylum thing, but we need a few more people who are interested in walking around with us.... anyone up for it??

Also, I think I am going to do Nightfall from Elf Quest. I've lost over 30 pounds, I think I can pull it off. I am verra excited. I've always wanted to do an ElfQuest character. I have recently reread the series and have remembered just how much I love the characters...

Two weeks ago I ran another d&d game. In my opinion, it wasn't as grand a success as the first, but I am very hard on myself. It didn't go like I had in my head... but also, I was making alot of tactical mistakes and it frustrated me ALOT!! I felt like my players knew SO much more than I did, and that I looked stupid in comparison. However, the other night, Neal showed me in the players guide a little excerpt that said basically, he as a DM and his players often knew more rules than he did and they would just point them out, he could take it into consideration and then decide what to do. I just get frustrated when I don't do things perfectly, and I really shouldn't be like that.

Otherwise, my garden is going GREAT! I have had some awesome cucumber and tomato salads.. and look forward to more sauted squash.

PS. I love my pig in galoshes!!!

Life is going fabulously... married life rules.. and the cats are happy, what more could there be?
